Planet Zoo 2 (PC) REVIEW – You’ll Go Ape for This (Again)
It’s hard to believe it’s been seven years since I reviewed the original Planet Zoo. Back then, I regarded it as the best zoo management game on the market, even with a few frustrations. Now Planet Zoo 2 is here, and while it’s a case of evolution rather than revolution, I’m happy to report that this sequel has surpassed the original in every way. It’s apparent that Planet Zoo 2 is running on either a totally new engine or, as
My Little Monster: Season 2 – Will It Happen?
Shizuku Mizutani plans her life around grades, while Haru Yoshida behaves as though planning itself is an elaborate conspiracy. Putting them together produces a romance built from abrupt confessions, misunderstandings and one surprisingly prominent chicken. Also known as Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, My Little Monster leaves plenty unresolved after its first season. Unfortunately, the anime has shown considerably more restraint than Haru when it comes to making another appearance. When Is My Little Monster: Season 2 Coming Out? Unfortunately, our
Kingdom Hearts Collection I–III: What’s Included and What’s Missing?
Kingdom Hearts Collection I–III gathers most of the Dark Seeker Saga into one bundle, but as you’d expect from the series, it’s a bit confusing. You see, the series placed important stories on handhelds, turned two games into cutscene compilations and gave another collection a decimal point. The collection includes HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts III and its Re Mind DLC. That covers the main journey from the first game to the end
Hellraiser: Revival (PC) REVIEW – The Wettest Game of the Year
What a bizarre journey Hellraiser has taken over the last 40 years. From its book beginnings to the breakout movie to the somehow nine (!) sequels and one pretty unconvincing reboot that followed, it’s been more falling than raising for Clive Barker’s pointy baby boy. Even as a fan of the 1987 adaptation, I wouldn’t think of it first for a modern horror game tie-in, let alone one that’s brave enough to swerve the played-out asymmetric scene in favour of
Your Hidden Gem Video Game Recommendations
If we’re known for anything, it’s probably either a) very, perhaps too long lists b) forced segues or c) being absolute hidden gem sickos who talk about games time forgot. Well, we asked you for your hidden gems, and you didn’t disappoint, buddies. We’re your guys, fwends. Team Buddies – PS1 This one has been mentioned a lot by you guys before, but we’ll give the nod to our buddy Zacuk03 for finally making us talk about it. Use
Wotakoi: Season 2 – Will It Happen?
Office romance is difficult enough without worrying that your colleagues might discover how seriously you take games, cosplay or boys’ love manga. Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku, also known as Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii, sensibly concludes that dating another obsessive is easier. But it does not conclude that either person will become any better at relationships. Fujita’s romantic comedy follows Narumi Momose and Hirotaka Nifuji alongside fellow office workers Hanako Koyanagi and Tarou Kabakura. The anime remains popular,
Adachi and Shimamura: Season 2 – Will It Happen? Release Date & Story
Skipping lessons is supposed to spare you a few difficult questions. For Sakura Adachi, spending that time with Hougetsu Shimamura creates considerably more, particularly once friendship stops adequately describing what she wants. Adachi and Shimamura, also known as Adachi to Shimamura, follows two schoolgirls whose shared retreat from school life becomes something more complicated. Its first season gives their relationship room to breathe, but leaves plenty unsaid. Adachi could probably do without the additional years to overthink everything.
Ghost Of Yotei: Complete Edition (PS5) REVIEW
There’s never been a better time to jump into the world of Ghost of Yotei. Much like Ghost of Tsushima’s Director’s Cut release on PS5 around a year after the original game’s launch, this Complete Edition of Ghost of Yotei takes an already great game and adds so much more. Those who’ve already opted in will also be pleased to know that the new DLC for the Complete Edition adds a compelling arc to the game’s story, along with a
FNAF Canon Explained: How the Games, Books and Films Fit Together
Five Nights at Freddy’s started with a security office and some deeply unsuitable children’s entertainers. It now spans games, books and films, but they don’t all follow the same timeline. But trying to unfurl everything is about as easy as getting out of an animatronic suit. Some share a continuity, others tell alternative stories, and several connections remain disputed. Here’s how the main pieces fit together. What’s the Difference Between Canon and Continuity? Canon and continuity aren’t interchangeable. A
Bloom Into You: Season 2 – Will It Happen?
Romance is supposed to arrive with fireworks, racing hearts and the sort of dramatic lighting manga artists keep conveniently nearby. Yuu Koito gets the confession but none of the expected feelings, which makes meeting the equally complicated Touko Nanami rather significant. Also known as Yagate Kimi ni Naru, Bloom Into You develops their relationship without forcing either character into an easy definition of love. Unfortunately, the anime stopped just as its student council drama was approaching the actual stage.
Maid Sama!: Season 2 – Will It Happen?
Misaki Ayuzawa has enough to manage as the first female student council president of a formerly all-boys school. Keeping her after-school job at a maid café secret would be easier if Takumi Usui didn’t keep appearing there, looking far too pleased with himself. Maid Sama! remains a popular romantic comedy, but popularity and an actual production announcement for a second season are unfortunately different things. Here’s the situation. When Is Maid Sama!: Season 2 Coming Out? In keeping with a
Bad Movies With Great Games
Video game tie-ins. Sometimes maybe good, most time maybe um not good. It’s a cliche at this point. Short deadlines and smaller teams often means that games like Goldeneye and Spider-Man 2 are the exception. But what happens when a movie is bad and it’s the tie-in game that is good? Let’s have a look at this slightly alien concept. Alien Resurrection The Alien series had already killed Ripley, killed Newt off-screen (still so mad about that) and almost
Date A Live Watch Order: All Seasons, OVAs & Movies
The recommended watch order is Date A Live → Date A Live II → Mayuri Judgement → Date A Live III → Date A Bullet → Date A Live IV → Date A Live V → F Last Date. Place each television OVA after its associated season. So, what’s it about? Well, Shido Itsuka handles supernatural disasters by dating the Spirits responsible for them and sealing their powers with a kiss. It is an unusual emergency-response strategy, although five seasons
GTA’s Different Universes Explained: 2D, 3D and HD
Grand Theft Auto keeps returning to Liberty City, Vice City and Los Santos like it has some special bus pass, but that doesn’t mean every game takes place in the same world. The Liberty City that Claude terrorises in GTA III belongs to a different continuity from the one Niko Bellic arrives in during GTA IV. GTA’s universes are separate versions of its fictional world. Games within the same universe can share characters and events, but you shouldn’t assume that
